Tinctures for the liver, gallbladder

Tinctures for the liver and gallbladder

Tinctures for the liver and gallbladder are herbal drops from roots and herbs that have been used since ancient times to support the natural function of the liver and good digestion. We make them in our own production in the EU, solely from herbal extract, water and alcohol.

How to choose herbs for the liver

The classics among bitter roots are dandelion and common chicory, which are traditionally used for good digestion. They are joined by greater burdock, couch grass and stinging nettle from the root and leaves. If you would rather not choose, reach for the Three Roots tincture, which combines dandelion, couch grass and burdock in one bottle.

How to take tinctures for the liver and gallbladder

The recommended dose of most tinctures in this category is 20 drops three times a day, ideally half an hour before a meal or on an empty stomach, washed down with a glass of water. Shake the bottle before use and do not exceed the recommended daily dose. A tincture is an extract of the herb in water and alcohol (35 % vol.), so just a few drops are enough.

Bitter herbs in autumn

When meals become richer in autumn and winter, people like to return to bitter roots. Dandelion and common chicory are traditionally used for good digestion, while greater burdock and couch grass have been gathered here for generations. You can soften the bitter taste of the tincture by washing it down with lukewarm water. Why the gallbladder is cared for separately in spring is described in an article on our blog.

Wild teasel and stinging nettle

Wild teasel (Dipsacus fullonum) is a lesser-known herb whose tincture is prepared from the root. Stinging nettle, on the other hand, is a herb that everyone knows. We make the tincture from the root and leaves, so you will also find it among the tinctures for the urinary tract.

Tinctures contain alcohol and are not intended for children. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet. If you are taking medication, are pregnant or are breastfeeding, talk to a doctor or pharmacist before use.
